How Custom Bar Mats Are Made: From Logo Filling to Final Packing

When buying custom bar mats, the final design is only one part of the project. The production process also affects how the logo looks, how clean the finished mat is, and whether the bulk order matches the approved design.
At Well Articrafts, our custom bar mat production follows a clear process from logo filling to final packing. For buyers of custom Rail Mats, Service Mats and branded bar mats, understanding these steps can make artwork approval and order communication much easier.

1. Logo Color Filling

Production starts with the logo.
The required logo colors are carefully dispensed into the logo areas of the mold. This step is important because the logo is often the most visible part of a custom bar mat.
For designs with several colors, each area needs to follow the approved artwork. A clear design with suitable line width and spacing is usually easier to produce than artwork with very small details.

2. Heating the Logo Layer

After the logo colors are filled, the mold goes into the oven.
The first heating stage sets the logo layer before the main base material is added. This keeps the logo section in place for the next production step.
For buyers, this is one reason artwork should be confirmed carefully before production starts. Once production begins, the logo design has already become part of the molded product.

3. Adding the Base Material

After the logo layer is ready, the base material is poured into the mold.
This creates the main body of the bar mat. Depending on the project, the mold may be designed as a long Rail Mat, a wider Service Mat, or another custom size and shape.
At this stage, the logo layer and base come together as one product.

4. Vacuum Treatment

The filled mold then goes through the vacuum step.
This happens before the second oven stage and is part of our standard production process. It gives the material another controlled step before final heating.
For buyers visiting a factory or reviewing production photos, this is one of the useful stages to look for when understanding how molded custom bar mats are produced.

5. Second Oven Heating

After vacuum treatment, the mold goes back into the oven.
This second heating stage sets the main body of the bar mat together with the logo layer.
Production time at this stage needs to follow the actual product design and manufacturing setup, so buyers should avoid changing artwork or product details once mass production has started.

6. Demolding

When the heating process is finished, the bar mat is removed from the mold.
At this point, the finished shape, logo and surface can be seen clearly for the first time.
For a custom logo bar mat, this is where the approved artwork becomes a real product.

7. Quality Inspection

Finished bar mats are checked before packing.
The purpose of this step is to make sure the finished products meet the confirmed production requirements before they are prepared for shipment.
For beverage brands, promotional gift distributors and hospitality buyers, clear approval before production is very important. The supplier and buyer should confirm the logo artwork, colors, size and other custom details before the bulk order starts.

8. Packing

After inspection, the finished bar mats are packed for shipment.
Packaging requirements should be discussed when the order is confirmed, especially for branded promotional projects, distributor orders or projects that need special packing.
Once packing is complete, the custom bar mats are ready for delivery.

What Should Buyers Confirm Before Production?

A smooth production process starts before the factory begins making the mats.
Before approving a custom bar mat order, it is helpful to confirm:
  • Final logo artwork and logo position
  • Bar mat size and shape
  • Rail Mat or Service Mat style
  • Approved colors
  • Order quantity
  • Packaging requirement
  • Required delivery date
Clear information at the beginning helps reduce unnecessary changes later.

Why the Production Process Matters

For beverage brands, a bar mat is not only a functional bar accessory. It is also part of the brand display at the point of service.
A good-looking sample is important, but stable bulk production is just as important. Understanding the production steps helps buyers know what to confirm before production and what to look for when reviewing samples or production updates.
At Well Articrafts, we produce custom bar mats, branded Rail Mats and Service Mats for beverage brands, promotional companies, bars and hospitality projects.
